I want to tell you about my recent visit to Sandals Regency La Toc on the beautiful island of St Lucia August 12-16 2015.

Upon exiting Immigration and Customs at St Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport I was shown to the Sandals Lounge which is literally steps away from the exit, where cold drinks and water awaited. After a very short wait I was escorted to a van shuttle for the hour trip to Sandals Regency La Toc just 10 minutes south of St Lucia’s Capitol, Castries.

When I arrived at the resort I was taken directly to the Sandals Butler Elite Lounge for check in. My Butler Elsa arrived to escort me to my suite. I was to stay in a Category BV, Sunset Bluff Honeymoon One Bedroom Butler Suite. The suite was beautiful and I was greeted with ice cold welcome Champagne and chocolates. Elsa showed me around the suite and asked if I would like to order a snack from room service before cocktails and dinner. The living room of the suite was comfortable and had an incredible view. The bedroom boasted Sandals signature four poster mahogany king bed which was very comfortable. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Two 37” flat screen TV’s, a fully stocked bar and refrigerator. The suite also included a whirlpool tub and walk in shower.

After the 4 hour flight from Atlanta and the hour bus ride it was very enjoyable to relax in my beautiful suite with that cold glass of champagne. I quickly unpacked and got my clothes ready for the evening and the next day. I had time to enjoy the magnificent sunset from my patio before getting ready for the evening’s festivities.

Dressed up in a cocktail dress I headed to Neptune’s Lawn for a very lovely cocktail party. Beautifully set up at one of the resorts amazing wedding locations. I enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and chilled Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks Chardonnay while watching wonderful entertainment of fire eaters and fire dancers. Time for dinner, escorted to the Hibiscus Room for an excellent dinner and conversation.

Day 2 in paradise I was up early to enjoy some Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and a breakfast sandwich from room service. I decided to leave the room early and take a few photos on the way down the hill to our Sandals WeddingMoons Specialist Seminar / Workshop and take in the beautiful view along the walk down.

What a great workshop / seminar, it was so informative. I really got a lot of new information and updated information on the Sandals WeddingMoons product. Now it is time for lunch and a tour of this stunning resort.

A light buffet lunch was served in the La Toc Restaurant along with Sandals WeddingMoons signature cocktails.

I will start by telling you about the Gourmet Discovery Dining, a culinary experience that takes one on a global journey of distinctive types of cuisine. Sandals Regency La Toc has 9 restaurants to choose from or you can take advantage of the “stay at one play at three” and enjoy the restaurants at Sandals Halcyon and Sandals Grande St Lucian.

I got to see several different room categories that were all very impressive. Here are descriptions of the top two:

Room 804 category BP Sunset Bluff Oceanfront Two Story One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Private pool. These two-story Villa Suites offer spectacular view. Lavish bedrooms are on the upper level with four poster mahogany king bed, a 42” plasma TV, tiled floors; posh living rooms with a 37” plasma TV and the romantic plunge pool on the lower floor. These villas feature whirlpool tubs and walk-in shower.

Room 27 category BW Pitons Water’s Edge Two-story One Bedroom Butler Suite with Balcony and Tranquility Soaking Tub. These suites are on two levels. The upper level consists of a living room and large porch. The lower level houses the bedroom with a plush sleigh bed and a 46” plasma TV. The bathroom features a walk-in rain shower and a double vanity with backlit mirror. The bedroom has a private balcony with a free standing tranquility soaking tub and a swing chair. From the balcony there is an exit to a stairway that leads to the beach.

Unfortunately we did not get to see the Sunset Bluff Millionaire Butler Villa Suite, category SV.

Sandals Regency La Toc features the Red Lane Spa and Fitness Center.

Our resort tour ended with a stop at Sandals La Toc Golf Club. This 9 holes executive course was designed by Richard Kolan and is a Par 3 course.

Now for a little time off. Back to the room and a quick change into a swim suit then off to the Sunset Swim-Up Bar and pool to cool off and relax before dinner.

A shuttle ride down the hill and a drop off at Herbie’s Piano Bar for a glass of wine with a wonderful bartender named Lucas while waiting for dinner in the Pitons Restaurant. I enjoyed the Chicken and Callaloo soup, Conch Fritters, and Chicken Roti as recommended by the General Manager. It was spot on and very delicious. After dinner a stop at the late night Chocolate Buffet and off to the room. Another big day tomorrow.

Day 3 in this paradise called St Lucia. Breakfast at Armando’s and time for resort tours of Sandals Halcyon and Sandals Grande St Lucian.

After returning to Sandals Regency La Toc, it was time to clean up and head for the Street Party with a stop at Herbie’s for drink. There were a lot of booths with some incredible food. Here comes the rain, so it is off to Cricketer’s Pub for the evening. Tried the fish and chips which were very good. After some fun conversation and lots of laughter it was time for bed we are off to Barbados tomorrow.

Day 4 is another day in paradise called Barbados

After the return from Barbados it was dinner in Armando’s. I tried the Chicken Penne Alfredo, the Risotto with radicchio and gorgonzola, chicken picatta, and salmon. All were delicious. I also did a wine tasting of the new to Sandals Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks wines, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, and Cabernet.

Sad to say it I time to pack and get ready to go home.

Breakfast from room service and I am ready to go. All checked out and a little trip to the duty free shop.

Just found out my flight is delayed. We are on the shuttle for the hour trip back to Hewanorra International Airport. All checked in with Delta and time to find some lunch. Nice little bar and grill upstairs for a burger and beer was the perfect stop.

Time to board and head for home. St Lucia I will be back!
